How does teen driver eduction work?
1.) Enroll in a course that meets your budget, timeline and needs 2.) Complete the first 6 of 32 hours and get a permit 3.) Start practicing at home and taking lessons AND Complete the remaining 26 hours of the online course 4.) Hold the permit for 181 days and turn 16 5.) Take the road test and take your paperwork to DPS for a new picture changed restrictions |
What is required?
BOTH Phase I: 32 to hours of theory instruction that meets all curriculum requirements by state regulators and is approved by TDLR And Phase II: In car or laboratory instruction that meets all curriculum requirements by state regulators and is approved by TDLR Plus Practice Log 30 hours of logged practice at home outside of all lessons. |

All In-Car instruction begins at our office as pick up and drop off are not available. All package contracts have a 180 day timeline. Extensions are $100 per 30 day extension. Refunds are not available for any service for road tests or single lessons or after a 72-hour post contract period for lesson packages.
